Clara first became involved with American Bone Health as a spokesperson for our Athletic Energy Deficit (AED) Awareness Project. Early in her running career she did not provide her body with enough fuel to compensate for the intensity of her training, which caused serious bone loss. Clara has since rebuilt her bone density and is a more successful athlete than ever. Her goal is now to help other young athletes (and the young at heart!) to keep nutrition and exercise in balance to maintain bone health.
