Start an American Bone Health Chapter

Joining or starting a chapter is a wonderful way to stay informed and be there for your community. Local chapters help educate and support individuals and families who are newly diagnosed and individuals seeking to learn more about bone health.

Our experience has shown us that if we truly want to make an impact on bone health, we need to create an active physical presence in communities throughout the nation.  We are working to establish a network of volunteer chapters, and we invite you to become part of this journey to end osteoporosis.

Current Chapters:

Mt. Diablo Chapter

Ellen Doerfer, President

The Mt. Diablo Chapter was chartered in 2004 and conducts regular Bone Health Clubs and Bone Health Fairs for their East Bay community. Based in Walnut Creek, California, their local events and fundraisers are both fun and informative. The volunteers have been instrumental in establishing and supporting a local exercise program for bone health called OsteoStrides. For a complete listing of Mt. South Bay Chapter

The South Bay Chapter was charted in 2007 and is based in Los Gatos, California. The South Bay Chapter works closely with Good Samaritan Hospital and their Health, Happiness, You Program. Monterey Bay Provisional Chapter

The Monterey Bay Provisional Chapter began in 2009 and is based in Santa Cruz and Pacific Grove, California. The Monterey Bay Provisional Chapter plans to attend several upcoming health fairs and conducts a monthly support group.
