ISCD responds to interval testing

The International Society for Clinical Densitometry responded to the study concerning bone density interval testing with concerns that people will think that DXA testing is being over used in postmenopausal women. They are also concerned that the study and subsequent media converage will lead to complacency for both initial DXA testing and follow up testing when screening rates in the Medicare population still remain inappropriately low at 13% per year.
